My goal in teaching students is to encourage a life-long love of music and to enhance self-esteem through developing a mastery of the instrument.

 

Private lessons on all types of clarinets (Bb, A, Eb soprano, Alto, Bass, Contra Alto and Contra Bass) are taught in my private studio in Reston, Virginia, as well as online. Most of my students come from Reston, Herndon, Great Falls, McLean, Vienna, Falls Church, Sterling, Ashburn, Centreville, Chantilly, South Riding, Leesburg, Aldie, Arlington and Annandale.

 

My students range in age from brand new beginners (suggested minimum age 9 or 10) to advanced high school, college and adult students. Home-schooled students and adult beginners are welcome (no prior musical experience is required).

 

Weekly lessons are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes in duration. Typical lessons consist of scale studies, technique studies, etudes, duets, and solo repertoire. Lessons are tailored to meet each individual student’s needs and assist them in reaching their performance goals.
